Ultimate Guide to Celebrating a Fun Girl’s Day In with Creative Activities and Food
You never need a reason to have a girl’s day but with 14th around the corner and summer only months away, I know everyone is looking for exciting new things to do. So if you’re searching for some fun activities to do at home with your friends or if you’re hosting any galentine’s events this month, here are some girly and cool things to do.
Art & Crafts
Arts and crafts are always fun but with friends, even better! One craft you could try on any girls day is personalizing candles! This craft is super easy, requires few materials, but looks so cute once finished! There are different ways to do this depending on how messy you are wanting to get, one of the ways to “paint” the candles is with melted colorful wax or paint. Another way (my favorite way) is to use wax pixie sticks! Pixie sticks are so easy to bend and form into any shape you want, plus there’s no mess!
But don’t worry if you are not the best at painting, there’s still plenty of other crafts you can do and it will look great! DIY glitter painting is one of the coolest up and coming craft activities that is fun and the best part is, anyone can do it! DIY glitter painting is bedazzling an already painted or printed canvas, you get to choose which art piece you want to decorate and then you cover it with the corresponding glitter kit. So even if you suck at painting, you’ll be the Pablo Picasso of DIY glitter painting.
Another fun classic activity that even Taylor Swift swears by is making friendship bracelets with all of your friends. However if you want to try something new you could make DIY lippie charms with the same materials! If you’re not familiar with lippie charms, think of it like a bag charm except its a cute and trendy way of decorating your favorite lip glosses, lipsticks, lip treatments, or any lippies!
Fun Food
Making homemade pizza is already top tier, but have you ever made heart shaped pizza with your friends? Plus you don’t have to be Gordon Ramsey for it to taste good, all you need is a solid 4-6 ingredients. I would say this activity counts as a craft that you can eat because it’s fun to make and even more fun to eat (plus it’s adorable.)
Bring out your inner Bridgerton and serve tea, finger sandwiches, and have everyone bring their favorite sweets (all in heart shapes of course.) The girlier and aesthetically pleasing the better! Now mix in a classic rom com movie in the background and your all set!If you’ve been looking for ways to romanticize life, this is a great way to do it.
We can’t forget the fun drinks, now can we. A cool way to have everyone participate and show off what they can make for the group, is to have a drink contest and have everyone make their own themed drink. This way everyone gets to have a great time coming up with their special drink and it’s not just judged on looks alone, but also taste. The best part is, there’s a lot of drinks to go around since everyone is making one for the whole group!
