Italy is known for having some of the best food in the world but with so much amazing food in the country, where should you start? I’ll make your search a little easier by giving you a head start on where to go. In this article I’ve listed three of my favorite coffee shops and restaurants that I personally have visited in my last visit to Rome, Italy earlier this past year (April 2024.) I am a huge foodie and I know good food when I try it so I promise you these aren’t just some pretty pictures of food, it all actually tastes amazing too!

Caffè Treve

Location: Right next to the famous Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy

Brunch with a view! This cafe is not only known for its  location but also their pistachio croissants. These croissants are magical, pair it with a coffee and you’ll never want to leave. They are located right next to the famous Trevi Fountain and they have many other amazing desserts and sweet treats that are also great.

Mariuccia

Location: Piazza della Cancelleria 92 00186 Rome, Italy

One of the best pizza places in the world. Once you try this place, no other pizza will ever compare. The crust here is the real star of the show, it is so light and airy. While their pizza is delicious they also have pasta, salads and croquettes. So the next time you’re in Rome make sure to visit here for one of the best meals ever.

Alfredo Alla Scrofa

Location: Via della Scrofa 104A 00186 Rome, Italy

Dinner and a show! This place has been in business for over 100 years and is known as the birthplace of the famous fettuccine Alfredo. They have a unique way of serving the pasta, they mix it all together in front of you. You also have the option to add truffle and it is quite tasty. They have other pastas and desserts, the tiramisu is absolutely delicious.
