Easy Closet Organization Tips (That You Didn’t Know You Needed)

I’ve never given my closet as much love as it really deserves, but when I moved out and got my own place, that all changed! I really wanted to make the most use out of my space and living in an apartment means smaller closets so I knew what needed to be done….a huge closet clean out and a very organized closet. So if you’re wanting to revamp your closet for the new year or if you are just looking for ways to turn your closet into your dream closet here are some very useful organization tips I wish I would have found earlier:
Storing Boots with Pool Noodles
this one seems so simple Its actually laughable that I didn’t try this sooner. At the store they make storing shoes look so easy but if you have been struggling with your tall boots, always falling or just leaning to one side or another then look no further! Pool Noodles are your new best friends. See the trick is to get some from your local dollar tree or store and cut them to the size you need for the boots. And just like that, the shape of the boot is preserved and they are much easier to store now!
Matching Hangers
I never realized matching hangers make such a huge difference and really bring an elegant clean look to any closet. I used to just use any old hangers my parents gave me or the ones they give you at the store with your purchase, but after investing in quality hangers I finally understood the hype. Not only does my closet look more put to gather but it actually made it easier to find outfits too!
Baby Hangers for Pants
While on this hanger discovery, I also recently found out that pant hangers are a thing, specifically “baby hangers” are the best. So obviously I tried them and used them to hang all of my jeans, slacks and really any other bottoms I had. I really like that they don’t take as much space as the regular hangers, meaning I gained some valuable real-estate in my closet that I didn’t know was missing. Baby hangers for the win!
Purse Dividers
Same thing as the boots, at the store the purses are displayed so pretty but when we get home they don’t sit up right on their own. These purse dividers are a life savor for storing purses and the best part is they are versatile! They help keep the purse upright and they can be used for almost anything else in your closet to help give it that sleek, clean look you’re going for.
