I think the recent TikTok trends about “how to dress like the office siren” are making people a little confused on what business professional means to wear to your new big girl job. Here’s the thing, you worked too hard to earn your degree, experience, went through multiple job interviews for that new job, just to be sent home on the first week because of a wardrobe error. That’s not going to be us, so here’s how you are going to make a statement with your outfits while still slaying, professionally.

You don’t need 3000 pairs of pants, you just need about two to four solid staples and you can style them a million different ways, creating a million different outfits. One of my go to staples for business professional slacks is Lululemon’s work pants, they look just like regular slacks but feel like active wear and are super comfy. Plus they have belt loops so they pass as real slacks, here’s some different examples of how I styled them this past week:

Vest and White button up Outfit:

Who doesn’t love a good vest moment?

Red and White Accessories Outfit:

It’s all about the accessories.

All Black Outfit:

You can never go wrong with an all black fit.

Here are my second favorite pants staple, these slacks are from Uniqlo and they are such good quality! I have them in white and this cream color and they are 100% not see through ( which is really hard to find these days in light colored slacks.)

Fun Cardigan Outfit

A fun cardigan moment.

Optional Relaxed Outfit:

Depending on the company this outfit can be unprofessional to wear do to the exposed shoulders, however I wore this to a creator event that was business casual and it was fine but I wouldn’t wear it to the corporate office setting, however I wanted to show it as an example for *fashion* inspiration ( I also wore this to NYFW so there’s that.)

Hopefully if you are just starting out a new chapter of your life and you’re looking for office outfit inspiration I was able to help guide you. This was just one week of outfits so I will defiantly have to update this as I go along, another great way to look up cute gen z corporate office outfits is to look on Pinterest and TikTok! You don’t have to have the exact pieces of clothing as them or even me, but check out the color combos and styles and match them to what you have in your closet (that’s what I do.)
